 The Cogs of Gods: Revolution & Rebirth is the first in a series of planned books. The first book centers around a religious cult that was formed after a disastrous conflict known as "The War of Damnation" destroyed most of human civilization and led to a period of darkness and brutality where even the Gods chose to distance themselves from humanity. In this era without Gods or laws, a boy finds that he has awoken within the stronghold of the cult without memories of his past life, alongside many other children that seem to share his fate. Robbed of his freedom, he is forced to becomes a soldier for the cult, a Cog. Still holding a shred of his humanity, he finds that he is different from his peers, a defect. Resigning himself to a life of loneliness in order to protect himself, his fate changes when he happens to come across a new recruit, a foreign girl, who seems to also share in this defect. Discovering more who are like them, he is thrust into a conspiracy which involves a suicidal jail-break from the militaristic cult's headquarters. The path towards freedom and happiness is marred with blood and suffering.
